At my mothers funeral ,my sister didnt contribute to funeral expenses and didn't even send flowers .She was flippant to one of mams friends, I told her she no longer part of my family and if mam had ever seen her be so fcking rude ,mam would have knocked her out, mam would fight anybody and never backed down.

Sounds a bit like my sister. Towards the end they had a bit of a falling out with each other based on jealousy and anger. The end of life experience tends to bring out base human emotions and long simmering grudges, and my sister is the queen of grudges. There's lingering resentment from decades back. Difficult as it was I had to take care of everything. We do what we can do and that's all we can do.

Was a shock if you know what I mean. I found out how the death industry really works, from the ER, to hospitalization, to nursing care, to hospice, to funerals, to urns, to... Streamlined and everyone wants their cut and knows how to get it. I suppose that's how it'll be when it's time for me to rerurn home. Yeah, learned a lot about human nature and especially that in the end it's a business.
