We both currently have cancer, he was diagnosed two weeks before I was and it’s my second round of it. I think we would both do the same things as we do now, we are taking care of one in another in the ways that we can. And both of us are doing pretty good, still have our energy, haven’t lost weight, no bad side effects from the chemo and we are both trying to eat the best we can double or tripling up on raw salads especially cruciferous veggies and other healthy food.

Honestly just good healthy behaviour. My poor wife is dealing with a lot and self care isn't always easy for her.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
This is a beautiful question, and reflective. I would take such good care of them. Push through the hard work and positive changes, set them up for success.

Great answer.

I would desperately get therapy, resolve any family issues with him, I would include fitness into his schedule. I would move his sister and her boyfriend out the house.
I would go out to make friends my age, that don't need saving and ideally friends with children of their own too.

Then we better talk honestly. The both of us.
It would only take a couple of months without walking and the other person would be rolling in bed in agonizing back pain.
I walk at least 4 miles to avoid that.

I'd enjoy the physical freedom her body has. But I would feel bad if she has to be stuck in my physically challenged body for a year, nobody deserves the unnecessary pain and discomfort my body puts me through.
Markinator · 51-55, M
That would be too hard to do. I'd be too worried that I'd let them down and when they got their body back, they'd be like, "What in the world did you do to me!!!" I'd try to do my best to take care of them, but I know that I'd do terrible. Accountability for that would destroy me!
FlowerPetal · 22-25, F
I'm afraid me being in their body would ruin them.. I would handle it like it is something fragile and won't want to hurt it.
SUPERVlXEN · F
I'd be doing the exact same I do for myself. Are you ready to switch? 😏
@SUPERVlXEN

fun4us2b · M
They're doing much better than I ever could, so it would be a tall order...
Nanori · F
I can take care of a body perfectly but when it comes to taking care of the mind it'd be safer if I just don't touch it 😂
Considering I don't even know how to take care of myself, that's a scary thought.
I am already doing the best i can
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
Don't know. I have no one to love accept my family. That's it
