If I had a son that was addicted to pornography

I'd send him to Papua New Guinea to live the life of a villager for 6 months to a year in the villages. He won't be able to watch porn and that should teach him a lesson indeed. Just a thought. Watching it once in a while is OK though.

Unless he is born blind, he is going to find pornography. Until the computer age, people had to rely on magazines, skin flicks at the movie house, or personal movie projectors. Computers make it instantaneous and confidential. As a parent, you have to talk to them about it and what they are feeling. Been there and done that. I have control over what he can access online here, so I know when he has been searching or what he was watching. When he was younger, we throttled it back to nudity only/

@TexChik okay that's great!

@UltimateDemiGoddess As parents, we all want to hide from this issue, but we have to be more involved if we want to keep them out of trouble.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@TexChik I'm not a parent, but that sounds good.
I put his computer in the living room, he wasn’t addicted but it was definitely distracting him.

@FreeSpirit1 good on you!
A kid smashed up my classroom one day. The next he was sent there to see his gran. 6 weeks later he came back silent, apologised and never did it again.

SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Well that's one way of navigating the Online Safety Act . .
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@SunshineGirl hahahaha
That's basically what immigrant parents do to discipline their kids when they go off the rails. Send em back home likes it's rehab lol
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Matt85 hope he got into trouble.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@UltimateDemiGoddess He walked into an open car door not long after. It felt awesome.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Matt85 sounds good
BillyMack · 46-50, M
Why there? You could just cut off the internet access and take away the phone/computer.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@BillyMack there are ways around.
lissah · 36-40, F
What kind of lesson would he learn from not watching porn?
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@lissah he will learn moderation and to be grateful.

Monalisasmith86 · 41-45, F

UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Monalisasmith86 that's a lie. Probably what you do.
Monalisasmith86 · 41-45, F
@UltimateDemiGoddess I have no kids 😝
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Monalisasmith86 no one asked.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
Why not restrict his internet access?
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Moneyonmymind they can easily find ways around
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@UltimateDemiGoddess true but not all people are tech savvy
