If you knew what you were doing I suppose making a living filing then winning lawsuits could be exciting as well as profitable.

Or settling for a "fair" outcome.

I used to know a guy who made a very good living organizing law firm libraries. He was also a very talented playwright and actor and could make his own schedule.
@hunkalove

Are you talking about your talented self, hunka?!

If you were the one filing "teeth" and then making lawsuits from how you filed teeth, yes.... but I think this might have a parallel with Trump/Epstein. Poor boy has spent so much time bullying, and he's about to feel how he has
@awildsheepschase

This post is about the swollen one, yep.

It could, but what kind of lawsuits would you take?
@morrgin

Surely there is some way available for someone in your position to enlist professional help pro bono?

I'm not sure if you meant I'm finding this post to be written in a humorous vein or not... if you or anyone else thinks that then - I'm serious, now - I'll take it down.

@rinkydinkydoink I'm the one that probably took it too serious. I don't get humor very well. It's a bad trait of mine sometimes. I take everything so literal. I like your post.

It's difficult in my situation to get help because it's not criminal so I can't get a public defender. I can't get an attorney on a contingency fee because they only do that usually with personal injury lawsuits. Pro bono is more rare than people think. I've tried law clinics and law schools. Legal aid won't take it either. Legal aid is pretty swamped right now. It's a complicated case even though I have solid organized and admissible evidence. The biggest reason no one will take it is because it started off as a family dispute. It's my sister that is using her business as the one I owe and bringing the claim against me. No one wants to touch cases that involve family except for things like divorce and custody. Only way I can get a lawyer is if I pay for one and I don't have the money for that.
@morrgin

Yours is truly an insoluble situation. Everything you wrote - all of it - was distilled neatly in your last sentence: "Only way I can get a lawyer is if I pay for one and I don't have the money for that".

Lawyers and Doctors in slightly different ways...both a creepy breed.

🤷
@Punxi They should relocate themselves to the same office building, you go from the doc to the lawyer, then the judge all for one price
@Punxi

Shhhh! We have an elderly former physician on SW. He gets cranky way too often for apparently no reason too many times to count...
