What if millions of people started suing trump?

He's effed over enough people now. Would it keep him busy? Too busy to keep ruining the country?

No input/insults needed from maga, thanks.

If millions of people started suing Donald Trump, the legal system would face significant logistical and procedural challenges. Courts operate under specific rules to prevent frivolous lawsuits and to manage caseloads efficiently. Here’s what might happen:

Consolidation of Cases: Courts often consolidate similar lawsuits into class action suits to streamline proceedings. This could reduce the sheer number of individual cases Trump would have to deal with directly.

Legal Representation: Trump would likely rely on a large legal team to handle multiple cases simultaneously, meaning he wouldn’t be personally involved in every detail.

Impact on His Time: While legal battles can be distracting and time-consuming, Trump has shown an ability to multitask and manage political activities alongside legal issues. However, increased litigation could strain his resources and attention.

Media and Public Pressure: A surge in lawsuits would generate significant media coverage, possibly affecting public perception and political capital more than his direct ability to act.

Financial Implications: Legal fees and potential settlements could have financial consequences, although Trump’s wealth and fundraising abilities might mitigate this.

In summary, while a flood of lawsuits could create legal and financial pressures, it’s unlikely to completely distract or prevent him from engaging in political activities. The U.S. legal system has mechanisms to manage high-profile figures facing multiple lawsuits.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. We need to think out of the box and for starters everyone affected by Musk’s data hack should receive a billion dollars right away while further charges are being compiled. A similar approach could be used on Trump for all citizens of the USA and then the rest of the world could file charges.
@TheShanachie it's time to think.

He needs to be sued for many different things. One, slander, he blamed the air traffic controller for the helicopter accident with no evidence, calling an individual out for being incompetent because they were a DEI hire.

He needs to be sued by the Haitian community for stating on live TV that haitians are eating our pets with no apology when proven false. These are but drops in the ocean of false accusations and slander by Trump.

In such a litigious country, it seems strange you can't sue the top guy, but I can see why. Neither side would let the other get on with the job if it was allowed.
@FreddieUK I think it's not about sides anymore, I think it's about getting trump gone.

I’ve never seen a post where I was blocked by so many people who responded as this one. Not even close
@ShepherdBard How did I miss you ? 🤣

@MarbleMarvel I figured as much

I'd bet you can't just sue the President personally as a private citizen over his policies. Which is a good thing or an awful lot of idiots on both sides would be on a never ending basis.

Some govt entities are suing over various things .. some may be successful, some won't.

The country has been headed the wrong direction for decades. Both parties have been perpetuating the status quo and that has resulted mostly in failing us as citizens.

Change can't happen if that status quo is not disrupted. Disruption is happening.. and it won't be comfortable. Buckle up.
@BrandNewMan I'm ready for disruption. I've been ready.

Then we can find solutions. Right now we're just squawking at each other.
It would be perfect and no less than he deserves. The only thing is, being a crook, his m.o. has been to stall the proceedings until those suing him run out of money and then making a lowball settlement offer.
@bijouxbroussard there's always a way for rich people to get around the truth 😔

@MarbleMarvel He has the same response for every post, over and over again.
@JimboSaturn because these maga types are unreal
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Basically, you can't sue a sitting president in civil court. They can be sued for criminal acts, though.
@DunningKruger breaking the constitution?
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@MarbleMarvel That he can be sued for.
adhane05 · 31-35, M
Letitia James already tried that and openly campaigned suing for everything he has...

A class-action suit, with 75 million Americans signed on.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Good idea. And add in Musk.
AnotherWeirdo · 41-45, M
Eh, he'd just end up funneling taxpayer dollars to ever larger legal teams to defend himself. The actual burden to him would be minimal, he'd still be on the golf course just as much.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Whatcha gonna sue him for, your hurt feelings?
@SumKindaMunster that's your story and you're sticking to it 👍🏼
He has every country in the modern world focused on him.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder
@softspokenman yup. Classic. And his followers are the same. gaslighting everyone they can
The dummy has outsmarted everyone. The end.

He is ruling by whim and there isn't a thing anyone can do about it.
@MarbleMarvel

He has everyone reacting - his opposition is wasting time chasing after his sleight-of-hand diversionary tactics while his lieutenants (Musk and his junior league disruptors) are up to no good out of the spotlight.

@MarbleMarvel

This crackpot is exposing the weaknesses in the American system of governance - it's either going to end up with America disintegrating with Don Donald at the helm or, with his removal and saner heads taking over and by shoring up those weaknesses, making the U.S. a truly more perfect Union. Let's hope not too many lives will be lost.
swirlie · 31-35, F
Well, the US Justice System is a failed experiment anyway as evidenced by Trump still walking around like a free man today, so why would you think that suing Trump would yield any net effect?
@swirlie I don't take advice from catfish
swirlie · 31-35, F
@MarbleMarvel
Is that why you don't take your own advice then? 🤔
What we all need to do is collectively sue BinBiden and the other dems for the last four years of severely increasing the costs of goods and services.
@MarbleMarvel Grocery prices nearly three times higher, people dying from mandated clot shots twice as much as the plandemic itself, people fired for refusing it, Hunter Biden, false and unConstitutional persecution of J6 protestors, many lingering in jail for years without being formally charged or seeing a judge, unConstitutional lawfare against Trump, the doj turing banana republic, the pathetic modern woke neoliberal leftie losers calling 53% of the country nazi and deplorable. Want to know why and how Trump won?[media=https://youtu.be/R3XO_ee9VeY]

They failed to learn from 2016...

@MarbleMarvel The myriad of useless bureaucracies and micromanaging bureacrats has made government a mess, it's time to go back to the Constitutional basics.
