Would you send a card to an ex friend?

My good friend for many years just got in a terrible car crash a few days ago. She is now out of the hospital. We have not spoken in 4 years now, b/c she would manipulate me, and I didn't feel she was a true friend anymore. I would listen to her for hours, support her etc. But I just couldn't be treated like I'm a fool or manipulated to get her way anymore. BUT, we did have many years of friendship prior to that. (since High school..). We did many things together, I attended many of her house parties etc. I did send her a postive message on FB about how I hope she heals quickly and was so glad it wasn't worse. Many were writing she could have died, b/c it was pretty serious, the damage/accident. Do I also send a card too? We were good friends many years. But I do not want to continue our friendship. I guess I just know in the PAST I would def. send flowers or card too, in addition to the FB message. But I"m not sure if I should now. Is the message enough?
