I met a single mum tonigjt waiting in tje cold outside a supermarket at night for a taxi . She was thin and shivering in her coat . We talked for a moment. She loved her sons, and wanted to get home witj food to cook dinner. she had been waiting over an hour in the cold night air for a taxi .
It broke my heart in a beautiful way how amazing mothers can love , and what they will suffer , just to provide and give .
I gave her a lift home , and she left $10 on my passenger seat .
It made me cry .
I realised there are humans with humanity left .
It was a beautiful thing between two simple humans who still understand what it is to be human . 💜
@OogieBoogie abso-fucking-lutely. Whenever some stranger tries to rile me, I remind myself to not let them ruin my day. Life is too short to harbour ill will or feelings on those that mean nothing to me
@OogieBoogie I can see when someone allows resentment and anger eat them up. Years later, they are in the same place, because they couldn’t let go, couldn’t move on. I like to believe we humans have a lot more in common than we think, and that are differences aren’t enough to keep us from interacting with each other . It’s just easier to assume and remain “safe” in our bubble
Aww that’s just wonderful! 🤗🤗🤗 I was outside with the pooch this morning and stopped to admire my baskets. They took off like gangbusters this year and it absolutely delights me. 😊
I live in an apartment building which provides me with many opportunities to help people. This morning I have a new "client" for free food and free delivery of same, so I called her and discovered she has lots of other needs. This month she only had $2 left to buy food, so she bought $2.00 worth of ramen noodles.
I made a phone call for her to try to get her set up with free ensure drink for diabetics, and possibly for free homemaker assistance.
Whenever I can help someone new, I feel as though I am supposed to be here, and I am supposed to be doing this work.
Just now I was in the kitchen making a full breakfast for the troops and since it is pruning time, spring is on the way, we are getting busy in the garden. There is a tree and the fibre line makes its way through the branhces. So a comment was made to ringcut the bark. I was in tears, tree's lives matter to me. Someone came up to me and held me tight, even made me a cup of coffee. a Hug is a beautiful thing, hug-givers are beautiful people.
@Ilena simple gestures are often the most meaningful. Last night I was offered wine and food and a drive from someone I had just met. I was so grateful and appreciative
most beautiful must of been when i was in a theatre for a caesarian section see a baby born . makes me very sentimental and warm inside to see new life [ghostinthemachine]
@Iwillwait I love seeing older couples who are obviously still enamoured with each other and wonder how they do it, what they have gone through to get where they are
