@MissLlyn I usually find the "it never did me any harm" trope to be the worst. I had an uncle who was at school when caning was allowed. I remember him saying that some teachers didn't consider caning to be enough. Some did commit assault and kids then weren't listened to. He told me he was assaulted (smacked across the face) on two occasions simply because the teacher was shit at his job and lost control of his temper at the slightest thing. And that was when the cane was available.

@jackieash because they didn't smack me hard or beat me raw? sometimes you can't control the kid and a spank shuts them up and behaves. worked for most of my cousins and me when I acted like a shit.

@SteelHands At least you are right in your first sentence, but you are wrong in your second. Most of us in my part of the city DO give a shit, that's why we want more of us on this site. Trouble is, there are anti-British bigots on here who run us off with their lies and false accusation.
