I have a Russian M44 bolt action that kicks like a mule and is always the loudest at the range

A lightweight 7mm mag hunting rifle was the most unpleasant.

Ive also fired 40mm grenades, the M60 gpmg, the .45 cal M1 Thompson, various .50 cal muzzle loaders.

Others that get honorable mention for recoil are a French Mle16 carbine in 8mm Lebel (that hurts) an Austrian M95 carbine in 8x56R mm. Chineese T53 / Soviet M44 carbines (notice a trend there..i like carbines, what can i say)

.50 M2, .500 smith, 40mm grenade launcher, 10 gauge, 600 Nitro, .577 tyrannosaur, etc.

.378 Weatherby Magnum, .416 Remington.
I think the .378 kicked worse.
