Maple opossum is adorable. 🥰
But yeah, kind of typical for four-legged creatures to do things like that.
She is happy because if not for living in a human house, she would be out there foraging for mice to eat.
So where there is an opposum living in the house, do they typically act more like cats or dogs or...? Active or relaxed?

@itsok They are not particularly fast nor aggressive.
I would love to have one as a pet. Reason I don't though, I am not good with responsibility and I know animals can be some.
I have a couple that hang out in the back yard at night when it is not too cold, I just feed them and let them be in the wild.

My cats just use me as a pillow. Neko’s currently asleep on my foot and I can barely feel it. Maybe get her a pillow of her own.

She’s so cute, can’t help but wonder, how do possums use the bathroom? Does she have a designated area or something?
itsok · 31-35, F
@deathfairy yeah, she uses a litter box. She’s never had an accident elsewhere
The cutest 😭😭🥺🥺🥺

Have you tried sitting down with her to have an adult-like conversation, or mayhaps you require a moderator to keep everything civil, in case you can't control your emotions... hmmmm?
Pfuzylogic · M
I have seen people doing that in claiming food.
*Taking notes* Pretty smart possum you got there!

@MartinTheFirst slobber rubbing?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@itsok yes 😂
Is she trying to spread her scent or something?
Chin/Head: Glands around the neck and sides of the head are rubbed during scent-marking.
@itsok
So those pillows are hers now 🤪
Since she did it to your hair, I wonder if she would do it to pillowcases that didn't smell like your hair or shampoo
Slubbing in opossums is a scent-marking behavior where they lick and rub their saliva and facial oils onto objects, people, or areas to claim territory, show affection, or signify they "love" an item. It is often described as "slobber-rubbing," a comical, harmless, and normal action where they leave their scent to mark items as theirs.
