Yoga and the hips [I Love Yoga]
The hips are the Junk drawer of the emotional body. I’ve heard this many times in yoga classes and experienced it many times. The things we don’t deal with are stored there. No matter how much I prepare myself for this when I do a hip opening practice, I just don’t seem to do enough because I still get really sad. But maybe that’s the point, to open to those experiences I choose not to deal with so they can be released.
Nothing seems to be coming to mind why I feel this way, there’s just a sadness I feel in my heart. So I will just sit with the physical pain not needing a story to justify it.
