Tie between lat pulldown and incline bench press.
AzgedaBellamy · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul I like lat pulldown but I'm finding it difficult to progress on this.

@AzgedaBellamy It's all about consistency and controlled movement... even if you have to use light weight.
AzgedaBellamy · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul yeah I've dropped the weight down by 10-15kg but have slowed the movement right down as well to see if that helps me progress

@AzgedaBellamy Good job.
@MarkPaul Absolutely, consistency and controlled movement are key principles in any exercise regimen. Whether you're lifting heavy weights or using lighter loads, maintaining proper form and executing each movement with control not only maximizes the effectiveness of the exercise but also reduces the risk of injury.
Using lighter weights can still provide significant benefits, especially when focusing on form, endurance, or rehabilitation. It allows you to concentrate on muscle engagement, range of motion, and stability without overwhelming your joints or risking overexertion.
Furthermore, consistency is essential for long-term progress and overall health. Regular exercise, even if it's with lighter weights or lower intensity, helps build strength, endurance, and flexibility over time. It also contributes to better overall health, including improved cardiovascular function, bone density, and mental well-being.
Remember, progress is not always measured by the amount of weight lifted but by improvements in technique, endurance, and overall fitness level. Listening to your body, being mindful of your limitations, and gradually progressing as you feel comfortable are fundamental principles for sustainable and enjoyable fitness journey.

@AzgedaBellamy I've discovered recently that pulling down and stopping when the lats activate and then slowly doing the rep gets a better result/feel out of it.

@MarkPaul ChatGPT is copyrighted? A computer can hire a lawyer and sue me? Seriously?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Yes... just ask ChatGPT. This will be appearing on your permanent record. I think we better have a conference with you and your parents for this latest infraction of the code of conduct handbook.

@Mordechai sounds like a plan. Pretty much doing this without the pause at the moment, maybe I'll add it in
