As a kid no, now that I have kids a few. But 4th of July is a hard holiday for my daughter. The fireworks are overwhelming to her after a while and she gets upset

One of our Fourth of July traditions when I was a kid in the country was to shoot fireworks. The annual climax came when I would shoot a Roman candle that set fire to the dry grass, causing a frantic search for brooms, shovels, or anything to fight the fire because the garden hose wouldn't reach that far.

I was about 15 and shooting mini sky rockets into the sky on the roof. Suddenly a skyrocket went between my legs and blew up 10 feet in front of me. I turned around mad and my older brother was laughing on the ground and both his friends were pointing at him. I had a m80 in my pocket and scattered them to all points of the block. Dad saw and grounded both of us but thought my revenge was funny
