How I Am Spending My Friday Night…

@4meAndyou I will rest today. Still have most of that rotisserie chicken, and can make some salad. I didn’t eat much at lunch yesterday, wasn’t that hungry, and then had a sugar free yogurt with chocolate colostrum (I scored 2 of those colostrum’s a the discount for only $3 each) and ate that with a cup of Teeccino. I forgot to eat dinner. The boy left with his friend, who wanted him to help him clean out his car and take it to the car wash. Then they went to a Chinese buffet across the street from the car wash. Ray came in later and asked what I ate. I told him that I wasn’t real hungry. He heated up the wings and a drum stick and brought me the leftover salad from the refrigerator. It was 8:30 by then and I ate it. My blood pressure fell to 128 by 11:30, which it had been 179 a couple hours after I ate that yogurt. So doing good getting it down.

@cherokeepatti I can't tell you how proud of you I am...KNOWING all the things that you KNOW...and being able to manage your health SO well through diet and exercise...well...I wish EVERYONE I care about could do that!!!

@4meAndyou Trying to keep my primary care doctor from wanting to prescribe me on daily meds. He wanted to put me on blood pressure meds when I first went to him in early 2024. I told him I would try to get my blood pressure down naturally because I don’t like side effects of taking those drugs. He kept making follow-up appointments and he was surprised that I did it. He’s on blood pressure medicine himself and told me that he tried to avoid taking them too but finally did because he didn’t want to have a stroke. He also found my AIC more than it should be. Told him I would try with that too. Believe that the steroids I’ve been taking might have raised it so he is keeping track of it too. He is an osteopath, which Iike a lot. He was a student back when I worked in the dorms in the late 90’s and recognized me when I had my first appointment.
