Where Dorothy's journey began? 🌈
Gangstress · 41-45, F
This is a lovely pic 💚
I need to run through that and be like weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
@Trippin Jersey shoring it??
Trippin · F
@Stillwaiting That'd be a negative. 🤷‍♀️
@Trippin Good .. there are much better options especially in the Carolinas
Drove through several plains states last couple years on vacation .. more a mtns guy .. but gotta love that great open sky
Trippin · F
@Stillwaiting Even trip advisory mentioned a rather wide open limit of speed one can travel in these parts...lol
@Trippin Yeah .. at 85+ mph I was being passed regularly
mayguy · 46-50, M
@Trippin Yano you can actually visit the (now-closed) Oz theme park in NC a few weekends annually. It actually has a yellow brick road. 😲
4meAndyou · F
Yes. I still have an Aunt by marriage and a couple of second cousins living there. My family used to drive more to the north to get to Nebraska, but I have been to Kansas.

Wheat doesn't look like that anymore, sadly. No more amber waves of grain.

Trippin · F
@4meAndyou Very cool! Definitely unlike any place Ive ever seen.

@MarmeeMarch Iowa is very similar. My Dad is buried near the original family farm, in Creston, and I remember joking inappropriately with my brother...mentioning that there certainly were a lot of vegetables all around...😉
Pretzel · 61-69, M
I've been in MO - I was close
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
No but I've been to the prairies in Canada.
Trippin · F
@JimboSaturn Cool! First time I've ever experienced landscape like this.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Trippin So flat eh? I didn't actually get to see much of it. Your pic is beautiful. I don't think I could live in such a flat place though.
Trippin · F
@JimboSaturn Like the flattest flat for miles and miles.
carpediem · 61-69, M
With the way culture is evolving sometimes I feel like we're all living in OZ.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
I've been through Kansas before
Trippin · F
@vetguy1991 Pretty wide open is an understatement.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
@Trippin yeah, Iowa is about as bad
BalmyNites · F
Hey girl, lovely pic 🥰
BalmyNites · F
@Trippin What a day that would be 😊🥂💜
Trippin · F
@BalmyNites Indeed! 😊💜
BalmyNites · F
@Trippin Remember to send me that pic, I’ve been laughing about it ever since 😁
I love wheat or barley fielda...

Each time on my way to West of Iran I make sure that I stop the car by one and spend some time in it...

Reminds me of the Little Prince hair...
Trippin · F
@Soossie If I never pass this way again the one thing Ill never forget is the sound the wheat makes in the wind... Its own unique music. 💜
@Trippin

Oh I agree 100%..🤗🤗
Trippin · F
@Soossie 💜🤗🌬️🌾🎶
I've only been to Kansas once--a business trip to Wichita. Didn't get a chance to see anything.
Trippin · F
@BiasForAction You missed lots of wheat and corn.
@Trippin Damn it. I am going to purchase a plane ticket now.
Hope you have a great time here in the East. I'm on the South East end.
Trippin · F
@mondayschild2 More of a more permanent move actually... Interesting! Headed to the coast on that very end myself. 🙂
@Trippin mountains in NC are awe inspiring. All the coast lines are beautiful as well. I'm. sure you will love it..😊
Trippin · F
@mondayschild2 Have planed my drive in order to see them!!! 🙂
I'm from northern Oklahoma, so I went into Kansas all the time. Sadly, I was never impressed with that state
Trippin · F
@PrivateHell Haha... Unless you're a big corn/wheat fan....not much else to see.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Yes, and I have seen fields in that kind of light!

That's a great photo.
Trippin · F
@DrWatson Cool!...and thanks. 🙂

boredintexas · 36-40, M

@Trippin best of luck with everything 💜💕🤗
Kansas? Yeah, nothing but wheat for miles and miles - until you get to Nebraska, and then it's call corn.
Little House on the Prairie replica log cabin is on US75 in Kansas somewhere too.
SW-User
Yeah. Was there last week actually
Trippin · F
@SW-User Mmmmmhmmm
