I am in Minnesota, and I recently acquired a car from my daughter. It had Florida "conservation" plates, with pictures of dolphins on them.
I drove it to the public library. When I came out, I walked right up to a vehicle which was the same model, same color, with Florida conservation plates ( oranges rather than dolphins) parked 3 spots down from me, in a lot full of Minnesota plates!
Nobody was in it.

Walked into a car park and couldn't find my car. Thought it had been stolen so, pre mobile phones, I ran to the police station which was down the road. Got in and was jumping around behind a guy reporting something and then realised I'd sold the car I'd been looking for! Walked back and found my new car right where I'd parked it.
@22Michelle oh no....lol. It's a good thing you realized it before you put in the report!You know, I do see myself making the same mistake, so it's alright....habits are hard to break☺

@jehova I have thought about that since then. Imagine, if he was an evil person, he could have locked the doors so I couldn't get out and driven off. I would have literally put myself in the mouth of the lion, smh. However, I'd have poked his eyes out before he could take me anywhere...a crash is better than being found dead in some forest. Ugggghhhh...what a morbid thought😣
