Was EP better than Similar World?

How many people came here after EP got shut down?

I wouldn't say that. 😔 It was a different time then. So much has changed now days. In the beginning of EP it was a writers website. Few people even knew about it. I read some of the best stories ever. There was no way to comment back then, you just read peoples stories. When they opened it up to commenting and added more features the best writers started disappearing.
The website changed A LOT...and not for the better. It was huge though, I had some fun times back then. There were more people there than here. People have started to leave here for some reason. But it's what you make it. I have no idea how many came here when it shut down, but I'm sure it was many because there was no where else to go besides Face Book.

@Peaches I liked EP too. It had some sort of draw, and it was just conversational. This is close, but it never had the same atmosphere.

@UnderLockDown True. I liked the trophy room, the greeting cards, and the ability to say "thank you" when someone sent a gift, especially if you didn't have the coins to return one. ⭐ I think they had games too.

@Peaches there was no oversight. the owners let the bullies take over and that was a travesty. it closed down right after the murder that took place.

@akindheart Yes, that's right! Being one of the volunteers there, they ignored everything we turned in. It did get really bad. I knew it was time for me to leave. I never said a word to anyone, I left for RTT and that folded soon after EP. 😔

@Peaches i had a log in there but once ep was gone, i was done. a lot of my friends didn't come to SW. there was a lot of troublemakers on EP

@akindheart There's just as many trouble makers here too. 😎 They just hide to do it. After causing problems, they'll often change their user names.

Murder?!

Wait...maybe I heard something about that before but possibly more in the context of it being a rumour, or something about a kidnapping. Same story? That is unbelievable and terrible.

@SW-User no it is real. A lady from Columbus Ohio, (I am doing this from memory so forgive me if i am wrong) she was 26 with 3 little kids. she met this guy on here from Missouri and begged him to kill her. he tied her to a tree and slit her throat. and left of course. The police tracked her to EP and when the FBI started trying to evade our privacy, the site shut down (one of many reasons) you can google this

@akindheart I just googled it. Not something I want to stay steeped in. 😟 Had to stop reading after getting the gist. Imagine feeling so low as to asking someone to kill you. Too bad she felt that way. Either something happened to her or she was mentally ill, or maybe even some of both. No words for this really. I feel bad for them both but also for the families of both.
