I have a thing for paper.. I do not know why I like clean paper so much, can anyone relate to it?

Like new notepads, diaries and white/colored papers

I learned a lot about paper production in my job managing government policy for wood- based manufacturing industry. Visited paper and pulp mills and learned why you can rip newspaper neatly one direction but not the other.

@Donotfolowme Paper is a directionally manufactured product, whereby the pulp is squirted forward along the processing plane of the manufacturing mill, hence the finished product has a 'grain', as with wood, which is why newspaper can be evenly ripped lengthwise but not widthwise. Learned a load about paper recycling, pulping techniques, cardboard box manufacturing specifications, wood species, sustainable forest management, illegal paper trade techniques like 'dumping', and illegal logging, even got to Indonesia for an APEC conference on same. The CEOs of Australian Paper, and of Scandinavian manufacturer Norske Skog, were colleagues of mine and we advocated for the industry at Parliament House. Something so mundane as paper can be fascinating in its detail.
