@tenente I'd still make the first joke - in fact I do that all the time 😂. Probably wouldn't say the second to my boss though. That really would be cruel. Difference is, I'm making fun of racism itself - I'm not targeting anyone. People often confuse the subject and target of a joke. And yes, I have a dark sense of humour... no pun intended.
To make that crystal clear - jokes about people's mothers dying are fair game. Jokes about a specific person's mother dying, especially made to the person grieving, are not.
Jokes about racism/racial movements are fair game. Jokes about George Floyd's murder, especially made to his grieving family, are not.

'too soon' is 99% of the time not too soon for me, hell, I laugh at everything. but, i think the quarantine and COVID19 pandemic are making me sensitive? or, is it because i've been living with canadians for 5 months? lol
