As for me, even when I'm driving casually and relaxed like the old man that I am, I tend to ride the middle lane when there's nobody wanting past me and nobody in the way

I swoop through obstacles almost on muscle memory at this point from years of experience (I was teaching people how to street race as early as 2005) and when people come up behind me wanting to go faster than I currently do I move aside (usually to the right lane) and then get back over once anyone who wants to pass me has

I can't afford any more tickets, but I've spent hundreds of hours of my life going over 120 mph

I drive more relaxed most of the time now, but years ago I had a 2000 BMW 328 CI and put 500 miles on the car in 5 hours, and had eaten and went shopping in several locations during that same 5 hours (average speed was probably around 120-130 when driving)

I barely go more than 80 unless I'm passing or there's just others driving fast that I can legally drive behind "at the flow of traffic" now though
