Throughout the decades, this happens a lot. Something gets banned or becomes illegal but then something else pops up soon after OR people just do the "illegal" thing.

For example, remember when there was all this fuss about illegal music D/L?

With tiktok though, even if it does not come back, my understanding is that a lot of them have already started using some other chinese site. Red Herring or something like that?

People always manage to get around stuff some way.

Sorry but I have only a tired smile for all those people that have to look for a real job to make a living and not just to sit behind a computer and type a few things, make a pretty face, speak a minimum of words and voilà: $$$ are flowing on the bank account.

Now, they will have to go sweep the streets, work in a fast food restaurant and learn what having to work to make an earning is all about.
