Couple of weeks going to be overrun with blackberries. Family and neighbors will pick their fill. I'll freeze enough for all kinds pies and cobblers this fall. My backyard is a jungle of them. It's kinda U shaped go all way down and around. All blackberries. Took over the trees originally there.
That is a wonderful thing to be over run by. A train track ran along the length of my grandparent's farm .. w blackberry bushes all along that fence line.
Blackerry cobblers, jam, ice cream, etc .. still love it
Last year was the best I have ever seen for blackberries. I could literally shake branch and fill up my tub. The flowering was very strong again this year so as long as it does not get scorching hot I am optimistic.
All the wild berries around here go fast, but the store has some great ones that I've been buying for a while. I miss picking blackberries and plums in Georgia.
