I do at least a couple at the end of every set. As long as your form is decent throughout each set, a few cheat reps won't hurt.

They're a good way to hit the muscle an extra bit beyond what you'd normally be capable of.

I think that is a good enough way to train. He has a point about not wasting time and keeping the muscle under tension. I actually use a similar technique for shoulders.


That being said, if your aim is to build muscle, any method that takes the muscle to near its limit is about as good as another
