Are American college campuses hotbeds of anti-semitism coming from the progressive left?

That’s what the so-called “liberal mainstream media” keeps saying, and I don’t see anyone speaking up to contradict or rebut them.

The only thing I have seen that could confuse a simple minded person is the left is for the Palestinian people and against the Israeli government but not the Jews.
That is not antisemitism. The criticism of a government is not the call for ethnically cleansing an entire culture. A government is not a people.
Nor is being pro Palestinian being pro Hamas. But yeah there are def right wing neo-nazis trying to co-opt the entire situation and sow confusion and chaos. So no this is not a hate movement by the left. It is a hate movement by the right just like it was in WWII.
@Renaci I don't know. I've had some conversations with people who think that 100% of the Israeli people are in favor of genocide.
@Renaci “From the river to the sea” refers to a Palestinian state with no Jews in it.

@LeopoldBloom No it doesn't. It only means that to extremist Jews.
@Ynotisay So, here's the most neutral article I could find on the subject:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_the_river_to_the_sea

Even that suggests there's a lot of controversy around the slogan. Here's a somewhat less neutral article:
https://www.ajc.org/translatehate/From-the-River-to-the-Sea

And just so nobody can say that I'm overlooking anything, here's an argument from the other side as to why it's not anti-Semitic:

For the fun of it, here's a post from the Washington Post on the subject:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/11/14/river-sea-free-palestine-meaning/

And just so everybody knows, here's how I found all that:
