Would you rather have unlimited knowledge or unlimited creativity?

Unlimited creativity. I think I'd be happier and more fulfilled.

Creativity.

Just having knowledge is a bit pointless unless you can actively, smartly use it. Sometimes knowledge is a bit worthless.

In either case it depends on whether you have agency to use either one.

I will assume this kind of question presupposes the existence of that agency.

So I will say knowledge.

It's worth noting also, particularly in problem solving scenarios, especially of the life or death variety, that knowledge is more likely to save you. You might make extremely creative attempts at solutions, but if they're not rooted in anything applicable to the situation, especially in time-sensitive constraints, the creativity may ultimately be for naught.

It's no insult to creavity at all, creativity is awesome, the arts are aweome for example. But realistcally speaking, people with STEM backgrounds are more likely to solve the climate crisis (as just one existential example) than people only having fine arts knowledge. One can actually save you, while the other can make life more enjoyable when there is no impending crisis robbing you of time to enjoy.

For the rare unicorns who have creativity, intelligence, and knowledge in domains applicable to major problems, and crucially, the agency to actually work on solving the problem (e.g., not being hamstrung by others denying the problem exists), then that's a great combo.

Creativity.

Knowledge. I already have creativity.

Having more knowledge will give you more options for creativity

Knowledge can often be accessed or learned, but creativity lets you make entirely new connections, ideas, and possibilities.😀

Having knowledge is fine but look at the trouble it gets you into. Even on a site like this.

Because there'll always be someone who'll stubbornly insist they're right no matter how many times you prove it.

And if they feel threatened by your fact based knowledge, that's when it potentially gets dangerous

You can have the knowledge without the creativity, but you can't be creative without being knowledgeable.

Knowledge tells you how to work with the world outside of you which does nothing if you aren’t creative and don’t know how to work with the world inside of you.

Niether... both can be a curse.

We already have both which means choosing is not actually required.
