is a pet peeve of mine when i hear that. You were not assigned anything at birth. You just are what you are. Sorry to bring reality crashing back down on you.
@Torsten says
you are either born a male or female.
Or a hermaphrodite. Or a person with Klinefelter syndrome (XXY). Or a person with Turner's syndrome (X0). Or a person with genetic mosaicism. Or a person with androgen insensitivity syndrome.
According to Dr. Anne Fausto-Sterling, a recognized expert in this field of study, 1-1/2 to 2% of all births do not fall strictly within the tight definition of all-male or all-female, even if the child looks "normal." In reaching her numbers, Dr. Fausto-Sterling counted all incidents of intersexuality, from mild to extreme. The incidence of children with mixed genitalia is pegged at 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 3,000, or 0.033 to 0.05 percent of all births.
@Mamapolo2016 Yea. And what we think we know may be all we have to go on, until ...
Like if ships sailed too far out and never came back; did it really matter that what they thought they knew was wrong? It also could be that those who appeared to have ignored warnings about falling off the edge actually found something better than what they left behind, and chose not to go back, ever. What? Go back and tell the fearmongers that what you found beyond their horizon was better?
We are born into family...learn things well only what THEY want us to know and people are conditioned and brainwashed from seeing what is really going on and they believe things that are said such as "assigned at birth"
What exactly is "assigned at birth" or are they making new words up to fit narrative/agenda!..
Baby is born either a boy or girl and that's it[.
Baby boy grows up to be a Man.
And
a baby girl grows up to be a Woman.
Should be simple ;)
Edit: I AM TALKING ABOUT HUMAN Babies here! So a boy growing to be a Man. And a girl growing to be a Woman.
[big]You typed
WHAT? Human babies fool
[/big]
[big][c=BF0000] BTW, I don't give a shit about what you think. See YOU are a big stalker if you type such things. Don't think I said anything of the sort, stalker. Lol u are the sad one and I am not the ones who STALKS OTHERS, You are the one going on my answers to harass and attack me for NO REASON just because we have different opinions, probs on multiple accounts. What you have said is not nice on replies to my answers so cannot handle when someone asks you if you have a dictionary awww what a shame. You insulted first ONCE AGAIN. [/c][/big]

Anyone interested, part of the Introduction to "A Zen Reader" (Thomas Cleary):-
Zen is traditionally called the School of the Awakened Mind, or the Gate to the Source. The premise of Zen is that our personality, culture, and beliefs are not inherent parts of our souls, but “guests” of a recondite “host,” the Buddha-nature or real self hidden within us. We are not limited, in our essence or mode of being, to what we happen to believe we are, or what we happen to believe the world is, based on the accidental conditions of our birth and up-bringing. This realization may not seem to have positive significance at first, until it is remembered how much anger, antagonism, and grief arises from the ideas of “them” and “us” based on historically conditioned factors like culture, customs, and habits of thought. Any reasonable person knows these things are not absolute, and yet the force of conditioning creates seemingly insurmountable barriers of communication. By actively awakening a level of consciousness deeper than those occupied by conditioned habits of perception, the realization of Zen removes the strictures of absolutism and intolerance from the thinking and feeling of the individual. In doing so, Zen realization also opens the door to impartial compassion and social conscience, not in response to political opportunity, but as a spontaneous expression of intuitive and empathic capacities.
@pdockal Not a sound argument and a bit lazy always to go back to biology to invalidate a group of people. It's such an unnecessary argument to have. Let psychiatrists and trans person deal with this and just stay out of their way.
@FragileHeart no i cant. You know from the few trans people i actually know, they dont even ignore reality. They know full well they are biological males and have no issue saying so. They are living as women though and i treat them as i would any other female. I am not going to make claims thought that they are the exact same as biological women or anything like that though and guess what, they wouldnt want me saying that type of shit because its just not true. Its the trans activists that seem to push this shit so hard
@FragileHeart But being intersex is medically and scientifically a malformation or maldevelopment. No shame to those who are intersex but it is a medical condition resulting from disruption to normal development.
@revenant You wrote
Shops sell female and male clothing
While that's true of most shops, as I pointed out, quite a lot of shops are selling unisex and gender neutral clothing as well.
Are you saying that the fact that they advertise it as "unisex" rather than "intersex" is significant here?
Not always the case. If you know anything about genetics and chromosomes you’ll understand there are anomalies. Yes there is a social learning element that is inflating prevalence rates of gender diversity but that will settle.
@Wiseacre morons who claim they were wrongfully assigned a gender role at birth. its the same people that think there is hundreds of genders and you can be anything you want because of feelings
