is a pet peeve of mine when i hear that. You were not assigned anything at birth. You just are what you are. Sorry to bring reality crashing back down on you.

@Lanie78 It's unnecessary to point that out to transgender people because this biological makeup has less baring on identity and the way we live and interact in society.
@FragileHeart
With surgery you can maybe not a 100% but the important parts for sure.
surgery is just cosmetic. It does not change biology or what you are in the slightest. No issue with people choosing to live as the opposite gender. But they are still and will always be their biological gender. There is no assigning here. It just is what it is
@Torsten We are who we are and that is constructed by our environment and in case of trans people they can affirm who they are by changing how they look and are percieved. You may pass by trans people and wouldn’t even recognize them as trans...do you really feel such a need to harrass transgender people by pressing that they can never fully transition.
@FragileHeart I dont harass anyone, thanks. I have said this many times here that one of my best friends is transgender. I have no issue with trans people in general but i will not ignore reality to feed a fantasy. If people want to live as the opposite gender, thats great if it makes them happy. No issue with that what so ever but they can never change their biology.
@FragileHeart because others fantasies are being forced on the rest of us. Truth is that facts are slowly becoming irrelevant, and feelings are put above all else. That is not okay.
@Torsten In certain cases I would argue feelings are more important. Especially when we are talking about Gender Dysphoria and there being no good reasons to make transgender people feel less valid and like less than they are.
@Torsten You really can't ignore it in this regard? That's sad trans people pose no threat and are just being themselves and I can't see any downsides to supporting them.
@pdockal Not a sound argument and a bit lazy always to go back to biology to invalidate a group of people. It's such an unnecessary argument to have. Let psychiatrists and trans person deal with this and just stay out of their way.
@FragileHeart no i cant. You know from the few trans people i actually know, they dont even ignore reality. They know full well they are biological males and have no issue saying so. They are living as women though and i treat them as i would any other female. I am not going to make claims thought that they are the exact same as biological women or anything like that though and guess what, they wouldnt want me saying that type of shit because its just not true. Its the trans activists that seem to push this shit so hard
