I mostly stay out of it ,but I feel that some things are made into political matters that shouldn't be. Sometimes ,I comment on those. I won't just bicker all day ,though. I just say my thoughts and if someone's respectful I may have a conversation with them, if not I'm going to end it right there. How, it gets ended is dependent on how the person responds. If I feel further discussion is not going to change either of our minds and we can part peacefully I go that route. If they start going batcrap and calling me names they get blocked.
@Magicianzini I see several - and like Rae, I think it's a lot the same people. I try not to click on those questions, but sometimes I get fooled. Lol.
@OlderSometimesWiser Seems like sometimes it doesn't matter what is asked or discussed, someone always bringing politics and negativity into the comments. Ugh.
Similar Worlds was built on the premise of similar experiences, as its predecessor, The Experience Project. These values have eroded due to politics and thus Similar Worlds can no longer function as it was intended; Different Worlds is a more apt title.
@RageAgainstTheMachine I won't ditch people because they aren't exactly like me in thought and opinion. My lifelong friends and I still have a healthy respect for each other. If that tide changes at some point in the future, it may come to that. But thankfully, it hasn't yet.
i used to be all in it........ as time has gone by........ i have realized that it was just wasted time. i dont have the energy for it anymore. life is too short.
@twistedrope I don't engage either, but I do get tired of reading political comments on non-politic questions. Adults bickering and name calling gets old.
@samueltyler2 Yes. And it doesn't matter what the topic is. I have gotten to where I delete political responses to my absolutely non-political questions.
@romell I am not indifferent. I simply don't engage here. No one will ever change their mind and I hate the continual bickeringll. Hiding behind a keyboard makes some very brash and rude.
