Drink a quart of water. A lot of headaches are from dehydration and you might not even feel thirsty.

@cherokeepatti This.

@Coralmist Last time I took a Tylenol was over 20 years ago. My back was hurting so bad I couldn’t stand up straight, thought I pulled a muscle. I took a Tylenol and it eased up but the pain didn’t go away. So I drank a quart of water and the pain was gone. I was dehydrated and didn’t even realize it, I wasn’t thirsty for some reason. It was on Memorial Day weekend and the weather had gotten warm and probably needed more water than I was used to drinking due to that. I usually get a weird headache when I am dehydrated but it didn’t happen that time. If I get a headache I drink a couple of glasses of water and it goes away.

cold towel, ice pack wrapped in a cold towel. This is how I get rid of my headaches when I'm home. Works quickly too

If I have a bad one that pain killers can't touch, I'll lay down and do an aggressive massage of my upper neck at the base of my head. That's where mine usually are. It hurts at first but then I get relief when I begin to break up whatever it is

Try to smile, if you physically can't, it could well be a stroke.

Place the head under the pillow and compress, or even if you want, as silly as it sounds, between the bed and whatever furniture you have close enough. It does the trick usually
