Massaging is one of the best way to treat migraine and headaches. It effectively blocks pain signals sent to the brain and also boosts serotonin activity that regulates some serotonin receptors. This is how it helps in reducing the frequency of migraine as well as its symptoms.
Have you been to a neurologist? I was having headaches and had to go to one. They put me on naproxen. I did later trace the headaches down your an artificial sweetener though. So now I try to avoid that.
That's a tough one. It's different for different people. I've taken my neighbor to the hospital when she's had migraines, and they do nothing for her. All it does is cost lots of money. So, I give her some of my prescribed pain meds, and they usually seem to work okay.
@Lmarie704 Definitely rest up if you can(Even though I’d miss you while you did), but it sounds like you’re doing everything you need to You’re eating and drinking fluids and relaxing with little light and sound disturbances Hope it passes quickly for you💚
Use ice on your head it will help. I get chronic migraines and unfortunately I have to take prescription meds to get rid of them and if that doesn’t work a trip to the ER. I hope you are feeling better soon.
@Lmarie704 So far, I see ice packs, hanging out in a dark room, exercise, caffeine and water. Probably not an instant solution, but it's what they suggest, other than seeing a doctor
