So I hate office appointments
So I rarely take office appointments at work. I do almost all of mine over the phone. its easier on me and I have a lot less tics and outbursts because I'm more relaxed talking to a client over the phone. And I can hit mute if I really need to.
But today we had a walk in client and I was the only person available. Talk about anxiety. I wasn't prepared at all. I had to rush to get everything ready to talk to them and then there is the fun part of me telling them I can help them but I have tourette's and I do have tics and outbursts. I let them know in advance and I also apologize in advance as well. Some people will reschedule on a different day with another agent and I don't blame them. But this person said they didn't care. They needed help today.
So more anxiety as I'm trying to hold back my tics and outbursts. I did for the most part. When I couldn't I keep telling the client I'm sorry. The client kept telling me it was fine and I had nothing to apologize for. The appointment went well and I was able to help the client out. They were very grateful. Very stressful though.
