Anyone with diabetes here? What are your hba1c numbers?

My sister is 11 or so. She's had diabetes though for 25 years with pretty high sugars. Her body is too sensitive to insulin so she can never take what she really needs. She has neuropathy in her feet and suffers with severe numbness, I feel so heartbroken 😟

She can ask her doctor to be referred to one.

@Justmeraeagain She's seen a few yrs and they can't figure out why her case is so labile. She's trying to see if she can be admitted soon to the hospital for a few days, or a study.

@Coralmist maybe she can ask if they can run the test for another diabetes called LADA?
1.5 it's sometimes called.
They are testing me for this next month because my insurance won't pay for it before then.
My understanding is this might be the case if other treatments aren't working to lower blood sugars and that sometimes diabetic 2 are misdiagnosed.
