What do you think of immunocompromised people and COVID?

There's this concept I like called social murder. It's a desired outcome of people who are upset at having to live in a society with others they need to accommodate in whatever way.

They don't want to round up immunocompromised people into camps, and they don't want to actually like intentionally kill them. That'd be monstrous. What they do want is for them to just kinda... go away and not be visible.

This invariably means worse social supports, more deaths, more suffering. But its hidden so its okay.

This is the same with any group who doesn't belong in their idealized free society. They don't wanna pull the trigger, they just want 'em to "go away somewhere".

I chose option one since you wrote it the way that you did. Their safety supercedes my privilege. However, it does not supercede my own safety (it is not always about a mere inconvenience). I don't say screw them because they matter.

They will more than likely eventually get sick. They can't hide from it forever. The goal was to slow down the spread and prevent severe cases. They can't control other people, they can do their best to live life as best they can.

I know individuals who had to live in isolation before the pandemic because they had a child with a condition that made them immunocompromised. It's not the ideal way to live but they made the most of it. They did what they needed to do to keep their child alive and healthy. They set boundaries around other people when it came to exposing their child to them in areas that they had domain. This is how I see immunocompromised individuals needing to live their lives, with or without covid. I say this simply because if they focus on what others do they'll end up frustrated. The only thing we have control over is what we do.

I think this hoax has gone on for long enough, it has been over two years and I have lost count of how many booster jabs on top of politicians hypocritically breaking rules they provided as well as the fact on a personal note I do not know a single person who has died of covid. That's what I think about covid and as for immunocompromised people they could die of a cold.

I would be one of those people. I am also someone with a so called invisible disability and get told that they know my medical history better than I do because I don't look "disabled" by some arbitrary standard in their head.

They should be segregated from society at large. It doesn't need to be a concentration camp, but their isolation should not be cost-free to them.

Everyone for himself is our system.

Okay, so we've got zero votes for rounding up folks like me in a concentration camp. That's a start. That means you people have at least the bare minimum of humanity.
