Oh the end times stuff is nothing new. Christians have been predicting it since Jesus died and with good reason. He told them it would happen soon.
But i frequent places on the internet that are pretty heavy on the conspiracy side and it's only in the last couple years i've noticed a steep upswing in people deciding that the apocalypse is the next wild theory to believe whole-heartedly.

@Pikachu In 1992 and 93, they were pushing the idea of the rapture real hard because they thought the year 2000 was going to be either the end or the start of some tribulation. Something about a seven year period.
And the thing about it happening "soon", well, "soon" is subjective. Many false teachers think they have figured out about when it will happen but the bible there are a few passages that say no one knows.
I am not religious per se honestly.
