The irritating thing is that all this would've been avoidable, weren't it for the idiots we have around and the representatives they voted.
We're all still paying the price of having done absolutely nothing to prevent it from spreading back in Feb-March, until it was too late.

How long do you think the changes will last? I'm from a rural area that has only had a couple of cases early in the pandemic. At first, lots of people were wearing masks in the nearest city, but not in my local village. Things don't seem to have changed much here, as opposed to the major cities.

Well the US is shockingly similar to a developing nation in certain aspects including healthcare and scientific literacy.

@Pikachu It's sad, really. It used to be such an advanced country.

Well maybe it will be again! Once they get less obsessed with how great MURRICA is and more concerned making it great.
I think there's a good chance of that. If only because one of their main exports (celebrities) tend to be left leaning.

It's really weird when I watch movies and shows and they're not social distancing or anything, then I remember it was made before covid.
Honestly, these changes have been really easy to adapt to for me. I am taking in person classes but we're wearing masks and social distancing, so I still get my human interaction too

lol yeah exactly. Shocks me at first before i realize it was ok back then.
Honestly it hasn't been to taxing on me either. Wearing masks and keeping your distance is not hard to do.

@Pikachu the only thing I don't like about wearing a mask is when it's hot and you get the face sweats. It's very nice in the cold tho

I hate it and honestly it seems like this really is the new normal the next few years.

Yes – I also believe that many pandemics-related things will last.
