Do you take medications for an illness?

I hope everyone's healthy, unlike me.

My upper thigh is swollen again tho I'm taking my meds.
It's hard to walk because my leg is so stiff.
Perhaps because of the strawberry and banana smoothie yesterday.

I slept on the sofa last night...
Earlier, I couldn't climb the stairs.
I work on the second floor of my house.
So, I got there in a sitting position.
Can you imagine that?

I need to see my orthopedist again (sigh).

Yes, but diet and exercise are imperative.
Having hobbies and surrounding by positive people.
val70 · 56-60
@peterlee You're right about that. Need to exercise more
Subsumedpat · 41-45, M
Yes I take mine

I ruined my legs being too sedentary.
Taking eliquis to help prevent blood clots

@1PrivateHannah the walk to the mailbox with a cane is a workout. Rolling the trash bin to road is a real workout.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Gibbon awww...at times, I use a cane too, especially after waking up or if I'm sedentary for long.

@1PrivateHannah I really wrecked my calves. They burn when I stand up.
Cigarguys · 41-45, C
Yes I take many medications
val70 · 56-60
Taking a quarter of a pill of medrol for my allergies just now and then. The pollen is just killing me at times
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Yes, far too many, but every time I ask for a review, they tell me that they are preventing another heart attack and keeping my diabetes and other conditions under control. I still try to exercise by walking, but I can't do that so much these days. However, the sun is shining now, so as soon as I've finished here I shall go out and enjoy it. 😀

@FreddieUK always think of the positive side. I have difficulty walking due to osteoarthritis but at least I can still walk, only slower with tolerable pain.
Heart attack pills
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I have VSD, hope it won't happen to me.
Thinkingdeeper · 36-40, M
Epilepsy drugs in my case to prevent seizures. Very thankful it has been stable for a while now.
Yes, I do. But they help keep the effects at bay, and I take fewer than many my age.
I take a stomach antacid daily

Blood pressure meds
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
The Doctor has only ever prescribed Paracetamol 1000mg 4x daily. Since I believed it was making me hypersensitive to pain I stopped taking it.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Thevy29 sometimes we become immune to the meds until it's not working anymore
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Yeah, I've been taking pills for Hashimoto's for over 10 years now and will be for the rest of my life.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Not so much an illness as for ongoing conditions. Got four meds to take daily, and one to take every two weeks.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@ChipmunkErnie I'm taking 3 meds, hoping it would be over soon.
nevergiveup · 61-69, M
I take medications and use other things to help me through the day. I try not to let things stop me having a active life
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@nevergiveup The best attitude to life.

@Stereoguy I was borderline diabetic before. The doctor prescribed metformin but I didn't take it.
I stayed away from loving sweets for years and switched to citrus drinks and fruits.
I had my lab tests in October, my sugar level is now normal.

@Stereoguy That made me happier. Now am back to eating sweets. I hope they won't trigger the big D. 😊
Foodie60 · 36-40, M
I’m sorry about that . I have pitting Edema in lower extremities. Not sure if it’s kidney related or something else
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Foodie60 you haven't seen your doctor?
Foodie60 · 36-40, M
@1PrivateHannah not yet .
Bleak · 36-40, F
Yes, I do.
Sometimes I get fed up. But its is what it is. There is no other choice.
