Welp, my dad was scheduled for surgery for a stent that his vascular specialist had said he needed asap.
He was admitted and sat in the hospital for two days before we asked when is his surgery going to be done.
It turns out that it was never scheduled with the surgeon and that someone in the office had messed up.

@Musicman It was in his leg and he did end up loosing a toe.
They screwed around with this for almost a year sending him too various treatment clinics for the symptoms he was having due too his poor circulation.
I raised enough hell and demanded him seeing getting a referral to a vascular specialist.

Nope. THAT has never happened to me. I assume the surgeon thought it was an emergency.

@Musicman The first day he started his chemo & Keytruda at the cancer center they sent an insulated bag with 5 frozen dinners home with him. I could have had frozen dinners after my surgeries but I can’t have gluten and I told the insurance nurse that I didn’t want them because of that. I guess it’s something they do with Medicare patients now.

@WillaKissing Yes! He had been in the hospital a couple weeks ago to get a gall stone broken up. He came home and said he wanted to get his gall bladder removed. I guess his insurance decided they didn’t want to have to pay for another gall stone removal stay, they kept him 3 days for that one. I don’t know why they just didn’t remove it while they were there.
