If you had xeroderma pigmentosum or cutaneous porphyrias, would you go nocturnal?

These are disorders that cause skin to burn in sunlight.
I was thinking it must be pretty awful but you could live at night.
It's almost romantic, not to trivialize the plight of those with these disorders.

I was once on a bus in Scotland on an extremely hot day (they do have them 😏) and the poor man driving was covered almost entirely. He had a big black coat, wide-brimmed hat, gloves, a scarf over his mouth and nose, but I could see very pale skin just around his sunglasses. I'm afraid he wasn't the most cheerful of bus drivers I've ever encountered, but that is probably very understandable watching us all enjoying the sunshine in a carefree way. I felt very sorry for him.

If I never had to be exposed to sunlight I’d be fine I’d just sleep all day and work a night job. Unfortunately I’m 35 and it is late in the game for me to be suddenly not able to get sunlight. I do burn easily (get sunburn). Was this condition common during early Christianity? People feared vampires. Maybe it was simply discrimination? Based on ignorance.

I might as well have one of those, cause I don't tan, I burn.

So wait, what if you went outside wearing shoes, socks, pants, long sleeve shirt and a way to protect your entire head, would you be able to go out in the sunlight then?

@twiigss you'd need to be hermetically sealed i think
