Is this normal

I had a real bad gout attack years ago. I was put on a morphine drip. It made me nauseous for a few hours.

I had Tylenol 3 once, which contains codeine, which contains a little bit of morphine, and I definitely got high from it. It's a wonderful pain reliever.

Morphine is a pain killer. When i broke my hip they gave me some. Did not do much, made me itch.

That is how it works, unless you are in chronic depilating pain at home then they tell you to take Advil or Tylenol or get some Physical Therapy.
