My own sibling stole my ID to buy drugs

And is now emotionally attacking ME to double down on his lie that he didnt im glad hes my 1/2 brother and not full
Mine used my ssn. And she’s my full sibling. She claimed to be our brother’s wife to get into his bank account. The bank (rhymes with Hell’s Cargo) actually allowed her to take money, even though my brother has no record of a spouse or anyone else authorized on his account.
@bijouxbroussard omfg some people are so disgusting and selfish

@bijouxbroussard Such a scandalous bank!!!

Just don't lie for him. You'll be enabling him. If there's no consequences then he will continue and get even worse on the drugs into the harder stuff.
@LadyGrace o heckkkk no i told my dad

@TryingtoLava Good for you. You certainly did the right thing.

It's common for addicts to blame others for things that are the addict's fault. It starts with the lies that are needed to cover up the addiction, and it progresses from there to all kinds of crazy lies .

Lying becomes a way of life

Hence, the 12 steps refer to "a life of rigorous honesty."

It really hurts when this happens within a family. I'm very sorry you have to deal with this.

I had a similar experience with my sister when I was 13 and she was 16. She came into my room one day and asked me if I could offer her some money from my allowance, so I had asked her "how much does she need?" and she said something along the lines of $5.00, or something, (the exact amount she stated has been lost to time) so I said "Okay, I'll lend you that amount," after that, I lent her the amount she asked me for and she told me she'd pay me back, but she never did and it never occurred to me to ask her what she needed the money for, nor did she say, but later on, I suspected that it was probably to buy a pack of cigarettes.
@Sidewinder its hard to find trust
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@TryingtoLava I know. I've got a full backlog of trust issues.
@Sidewinder hahaha same

Thing is when someone has an addiction like drugs, feeding that addiction becomes their number one priority. They do not care who they hurt, who else gets into trouble, nothing.
