What would you say to someone who relapsed in an eating disorder?

It's a constant struggle, keep fighting until you finally overcome it.

Life is lived one day, one moment at a time. Your past does not have to write your future.

once you've established that what you crave is different than what your body needs, try to follow what you know rather than following your craving. example; I dont tend to drink enough water, if I relied on my thurst to drink I would always be dehydrated so I never drink from thurst, I drink a measured amount of water at specific moments during the day.

It's normal you just have to treat it like another condition and every time you binge and purge or you starve yourself until you an unhealthy wait. You just have to remember that it isn't good for you and you have to fight to maintain a healthy weight.
Time to start building your eating back up to healthy levels again.

The longer you leave it, the harder it ultimately becomes.
@MommaBear I know... I'm struggling to keep my eating regular, too.

My diet is not balanced by any stretch of the imagination - but my main focus is on trying to eat at least one proper meal a day (and a sandwich is not a "proper meal" - apparently).

@HootyTheNightOwl I have 4 kids so I’m very busy and I skip meals I’m such a slow eater and I don’t like to eat alone so I never finish my food either
@MommaBear You won't be any use to your children in hospital, though.

From what you are telling me, I think that it might be better for you to try to eat six small meals a day rather than three larger meals - that way you might be finishing your meal at the same time as everyone else without skipping on the calories.

There's things like Nutrigrain bars that you can buy to snack on as part of a healthy diet. They're not a meal in their own right but should be good as a snack between meals if you aim for 6 smaller meals a day.

@jshm2 Read the room first???

She can't be a "fat bastard" as you put it, because she is under eating, not overeating. Anorexia is a bigger problem for her than obesity.

It depends on what disorder they have. They are all quite different
