Yes, well more of really paying attention to what I'm eating. I have to really try to avoid carbs. After a certain age. They just do not like me at all. On Saturdays though I do have whatever I want for lunch. Usually a cheeseburger lol

@Bexsy I do like the idea of a cheat day. It used to work for me in the past, but it hasn't worked as well in the past five years.
TexChik · F
Not so much a diet as a plan . Hi protein lower carbs ( veggies no bread or taters
ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@TexChik That's a good plan. I've done some keto in the past, but usually I go with the old-school counting calories.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
I wouldn't say I'm on a diet, I typically eat what I want. But, I'm on a very very high protein "diet". Eggs, chicken, cheese, almonds, and red meats are about 75% of my current diet.
Scribbles · 36-40, F
I like doing the whole cheat meal thing and eating healthy the rest of the week. That works the best for me. I hate having a food diary. But I sometimes keep one because occasionally I'll fall into bad habits or because it's helpful for a doctor or nutritionist to know.
Good luck!

@Scribbles Thanks! I used to be so good about eating well that I didn't have to keep a food diary. But then I've gotten more and more lax, eating less and less vegetables. The diary keeps me honest. But I HATE it lol.
Scribbles · 36-40, F
@ShadowSister Let me know if you ever want to exchange some recipes. I sometimes find that helps me, to get some new healthy veggie based recipes :)
midnightrose · F
I'm logging meals and using the plate method. I can eat whatever I want but high calorie dense foods are consumed less than fruits, vegetables and whole grains. So far its been working well for me.
carpediem · 61-69, M
@midnightrose Great plan. If I need to lose weight, I don't eat as much. That also works.
"What kind of sandwich ain't too fattening?"
"A half a sandwich."

ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@midnightrose I think that any diet I've ever done that has worked well had me dramatically increase my vegetable intake. Whether I'm doing keto or counting calories or some other method, the end result is always to eat way more vegetables.
Ontheroad · M
No, but I probably should be. I lost so much weight when I was ill for a long period that I was basically skin and bones... been working on putting some weight back on and the scale mentioned, rather rudely so, that my efforts might have gone a bit overboard. 😁
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I don't think of it as a diet in the sense is a short-term thing.
I'm starting a new eating plan that I intend to keep for life and I'm already starting to feel better.
I think it was the right one for me.

ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@robb65 Yep. I've done my share of that diet for sure!
Barny52 · 56-60, M
Not on one but try to keep off the carbs cuz of T2D but find I feel better not eating them
Alexandru1990 · 31-35, M
Yes for 3 months. Eat just 2 meals per day. I dont eat after 6 pm. Avoid coca cola fanta sprite.
Freeranger · M
Artistically I think. I used to take my camera everywhere with me. 🙄
SW-User

ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@mindless Yeah, same. Unfortunately. It's going on over a year now of being "a little too lax."

I loose 41 lbs in 3 months and half.
ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@Alexandru1990 Nice! You're an inspiration!

DylanGuy · 22-25, M
i am. but i don't get all science about it.
DDonde · 31-35, M
I restarted losing weight in June. I let myself go somewhat in 2021 and I'm aiming to correct that.
bijouxbroussard · F
Not exactly. I eat carefully because I’m diabetic. "Diet" implies temporary, but this, alas is permanent. 🥺
ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@bijouxbroussard I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse that your body requires you to eat well. Probably some of each? I'm sorry you have to deal with it though. Diabetes sucks.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
