Have you ever dieted so hard and then eaten like a pig?

Today I had almost a bottle of wine, pint of peroni and a sandwich and a bag of crisps. The rest of the stuff was porridge and bananas. Tomorrow I'm going to be more strict or I'll never shift my lockdown pounds. Trouble is though, I'm still hungry.
sounds like youre restricting too much and then binging ,start slow so that your appetite gets adjusted like from your daily 2k to 1,8 to 1,6 etc .

Slight calorie deficit consistently over time will work.

The consistency over time is is hard part.

The trick is to have a cheat day
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@Sirmunchabunch some people can do that but for me it turns from a cheat meal to a cheat day to a cheat weekend, etc

@Sirmunchabunch Well then I guess I had one today!!!

@Doomflower It does take some good self control

That happens after a religious fast, I eat much too much.

Thanks for the heart on my photo.

@samueltyler2 that is often the turning point for many. Mine was my clothes getting too tight. We had a long lockdown in the UK and I ate more and exercised less.

@meggie I have been lucky, I have easy access to a gum, so I am ablevtp maintainy weight. Still taking photos to force mebtonstay fit.

I have, but right now I’m dieting hard again. Don’t want to relapse like that again. Not easily done in a household with kids and snacks all over the place.
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@meggie exactly. You have to make permanent changes or you’ll be right back where you were
meggie · F
@Ambroseguy80 if you Google a site called fatsecret you can easily log your calories and exercise each day. It helps motivate me and learn what things to avoid.

@meggie nice! You are definitely making the effort! I’ll take a look when I’m not wasting time on SW. 😂

When I was 16 I'd been calorie restricted since age ten, and I tried to eat dinner, with a glass of wine. The pain lasted all night.
It's not good to destroy your appetite.

Little & often does it, drink plenty of water & make sure you get enough sleep or your body will hold onto the fat 😊

I've had a day today when I couldn't stop eating. Only a leetle whisky lol
meggie · F
@ArtieKat alcohol is the killer in dieting.
