I'm on very good terms with [most of] my "exes". I still like them very much. We exchange letters, we speak on the phone, and sometimes we meet in person. Nothing is impossible, in that context.
thewindupbirdchronicles · 46-50, M
@helenS I'd imagine you would be. I think my first partner thinks more of than my last. I don't fault my last partner, I contributed just as much as her. But one thing I have done in life, they stay in my heart, and if I hear of something they really want in life becoming true, I message them to appreciate

@thewindupbirdchronicles I wonder why so many have bad feelings when it's about their ex-partners.
thewindupbirdchronicles · 46-50, M
@helenS Somewhere, I feel it will always relate to hurt and how they accept that instead of just seeing they loved once. I really view love, itself, doesn't change in that we loved, but takes new forms.

My ex-wife a nurse during our 10-year two children marriage. Divorced me during the 11th year because she told me we need a divorce so she could be with her soul mate the doctor she worked with. She asked me three-years post-divorce if I wanted to get back together once the doctor broke up with her.
I replied, "Hell no I would rather slam my penis repeatedly in my car door before I ever thought of that shit".
And that is my answer to your question.

Partly flattering, partly embarrassing on their part. My last ex once messaged me asking if I was as heartbroken as he was and begging me to get back together while I was busy sucking the dick of his best friend who he accused me of cheating with

Sounds like desperation

It happened with my highschool gf. I was annoyed because I was already talking to someone else lol. And where was this energy when we were together? She acted like I was an annoyance when we were together.
They always want you once you're gone.

@SailorMarz want what you can't have
bookerdana · M
Would truly depend on the HOW as well as why we split
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I would never be able to trust them the same way..
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
Yeah. It’s like I reminisce about the good times for a few minutes….the fun times…the passion…the connection.
And then the feeling of getting kicked to the curb for someone else flashes red lights in my head.
Yeah….thanks for the memories

Would really depend on the ex. Like some people might have good intentions but others might just see someone as another opportunity to get laid and nothing else
Strongtea · 22-25, M
I would find it flattering, I have tried to get back with a couple of ex’s but they weren’t into it.
summersong · F
It’s always depended on the ex but for the most part I don’t revisit old relationships for any reason
Pfuzylogic · M
i could possibly see that working out it just hasn’t happened with the three i had been serious with.
Barny52 · 56-60, M
Uncomfortable as I never forget her saying she would make me pay for wanting to leave her if i did go back
Fawma123 · 46-50, M
An ex try to get back with my wife once when We Were Younger in a club one evening they got talking and she told me he said I can't stop staring at your boobs I think you realise what you was missing and I think he wanted one last play with them lol
gdon39 · 46-50, M
I love to touch, feel and kiss. So yes flattering
Krysclear · 31-35, F
It would depend on the person actually
thewindupbirdchronicles · 46-50, M
You? I haven't really seen in those terms.

It gives me something to laugh at.

Flattering, sometimes comical.
Waste of Alls' time!
Boring

There’s only one ex that I’d be curious over how I’d handle it if she wanted me back. My hope is I’d respect myself enough to tell her hell no and walk away.
SW-User
At first flattered but as I grew older annoyed. I’m friends with all my exes, but we broke up for a reason, so I don’t go back.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I find it annoying that my son's ex-girlfriend keeps pestering with her complaints, drama, and tales of woe
eyeno · M
Neither, though I forgive and forget easily I remind myself why they're ex's.
wackidywack · 26-30
Flattering but once I'm done with them, there's no coming back
pdockal · 56-60, M

Neither
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Depends on the ex and reasons for separation.
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
Flattered because you’re obviously better than the woman he left you for but offensive thinking you’ll take him back
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Not insulting. But leery for sure. People have ulterior motives. It's good to be aware.

I guess it's flattering but yet I didn't go back to him even though I knew he wanted me, he showed me who he was when it ended and I wasn't interested in getting back involved with him
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
It’s happened enough and I get annoyed with it. When I am done with someone, I am done.
