What would you do if you found out that your partner is bisexual?

If we were married, I would divorce. I would never date a bisexual man.
I believe in commitment and faithfulness. If, after being married x amount of years, he told me he was bisexual, depending on if he had been faithful to me or not, would make the difference. If he had not cheated on me, nor ever planned on it, I’d stay with him if I’d already been married to him. However, I’d never date or marry someone who is bisexual, strictly due to my beliefs.
@LadyGrace I couldn't be with a bisexual man. This wonderful man asked me out yesterday, I've known him a fair bit. Very good looking humble man. Last minute, I found out he was bisexual, I went out to dinner with him but when he ask to see him again. I said no!

My friends are all giving me a hard time because they think he is perfect for me. But I know what I want, I do t want to spend my life with a bisexual man. I know this is my religious upbringing coming into play.
@Random1Thoughts Well, I couldn’t either. I’d never date or marry one.

Smart thinking on your part. Of course...and you’re right. We’re not to be unequally yoked.
SW-User
I would be surprised at first.

Then I would accept him.
@SW-User Everyone is so cool bananas about it, I wonder if their opinion will be slightly different if it did actually happen.
SW-User
@Random1Thoughts I mean I could divorce him if he was gay cause why getting married in the first place. Haha. But bisexual.... Meh. Doesn't change much what he feels for me
@SW-User
It's cool that people are cool with sexual preference.
Aidan · 26-30
I mean as long as he's faithful I dont care much
@Aidan Among our group of friends, I'm the only person that has a problem dating a bisexual guy. It seem the same here.lol
SW-User
@Random1Thoughts There is nothing wrong with your perception. The world continues to become a stranger and stranger place.
@SW-User
I stick to my gun, I have never been a follower.
Dusty101 · F
Well I would be glad he told me and then I'd ask all sorts of questions. But doesn't mean he's gonna run off with a man. Because if I thought he's hetro I never assume he's gonna run off with another woman. It would make a difference but at 47 I think I'd be very tolerant. And quite understanding.
@Dusty101 I'm very tolerant except on this condition.
Dusty101 · F
@Random1Thoughts and you know I respect that. We all have different ways at viewing things.
SW-User
I must be so bloody old fashion. @SW-User
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
I wouldn’t care. Especially if we love each other, I don’t see how that would make a difference. He’s just bisexual. It’s not like he robbed a bank.
I guess it's preference, I prefer straight male. @NaturalBeautyQueen
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@Random1Thoughts if he said that he was gay, then I would have a problem with it. I have nothing against homosexuals. What I’m saying is if he’s into guys, then why is he with me and not another guy.

Being bisexual would be different IMO. Because as long as he’s not cheating on me, I could care less. If he kicked it with both guys and girls in the past, it had nothing to do with me.
We are in a committed relationship, if he wanted to be with another person, we would divorce, wouldn't matter to me what gender he preferred.

I’d laugh considering his viagra is collecting dust.
Lol 😂😂@Keepitsimple
Effloresce · 26-30, F
There’s nothing wrong with bisexuality. Your partner chose you for a reason. Their sexuality wouldn’t effect how they felt about you if they really loved you
Effloresce · 26-30, F
@Random1Thoughts I don’t think you should completely refuse someone just for their sexuality, but you’re entitled to you’re own opinion so who am I to say anything
@Effloresce
I guess it's preference, we all have what we prefer.
Effloresce · 26-30, F
@Random1Thoughts yep exactly.

Nothing.

If you're in a monogamous relationship the list of people they're not sleeping with is the same no matter their sexuality.
That's true. @CountScrofula
Wish her 'Good Luck' and walk away from here life forever!...Simple!...🙂

I would not change for her and she would not change for me!...🙂

Nothing against people with sexual orientation other than straight.

It's just that I can not be with a partner who is not straight!...Choices and opinions vary from person to person!...🙂
@BRICSruleNATOiscrybaby
I'm exactly the same!
@Random1Thoughts Cheers mademoiselle!...🥂

Deadcutie · 18-21, F
@MartinTheFirst then block me.. show your disapproval
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Deadcutie if that's how you think I need to act to show disapproval of your actions then I will..
SW-User
It depends. Like I prefer to know these kinds of things before getting into a relationship with someone. If he lied about it then i'd break up. I don't think bisexuals are more likely to cheat etc but I can't see myself dating one.
@SW-User
What is your reason for not dating one?
SW-User
I'm trapped on one side of the fence of being gay. Bisexuals have the ability to live on both sides of the fence and live life in a traditional man-woman marriage or same sex. I want someone who is stuck on the same side as me, to endure the same struggles together, not someone who can cross that barrier anytime they want. Maybe one day this thought process of mine will go away but for now i'm content.
@SW-User I totally understand!
First prize huh. @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout
I would be shocked, but I’d try to understand and accept him for who he is.
Dusty101 · F
@Random1Thoughts it definitely have a difference on our life.. if he wanted to run off with a man... I'd wish him well.
But he could be running off with a woman also. So I'd have to learn to understand what he wants to do.
I've tried to be tolerable but doesn't work. I went out with someone lastnight. He was lovely and tick all boxes, when he ask if we could go out again, I said no. Once I found out he is bisexual, I didn't want to be in anything resembling relationship. @Dusty101
Dusty101 · F
@Random1Thoughts yeah... I wouldn't be into that when I was dating. I'd be avoiding that unless I was bisexual myself.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M

Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
I'd be cool with it.
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@Random1Thoughts Nope. They won't even admit they have 'tendancies'.
But give one few drinks, and she wants me to talk to every girl she thinks is cute.
The other, is a meth head. she is my friend, and Iove her dearly but she does meth.
Any way it's the same with her, once she is on a good one her inhibitions are gone.
I guess I should stop bragging on my wife.
@Groofydorkgerdo
Lol you both seem to have a good relation.
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@Random1Thoughts It's a work in progress ...

StokedFox · 36-40, F
I'm bisexual but it's not why I got divorced. I would totally date a bisexual man.
PilinisesiofParadise · 31-35, F
I probably wouldn’t divorce him if we were already married. I’m not sure what I would do.
@PilinisesiofParadise That's cool.
I'd have a hard time with it...
Like me, I'm just not into that frilly stuff. I'm very straight. @Somewhereovertherainbow
@Random1Thoughts I'd want him to be honest from the beginning...

Frilly stuff lol
@Somewhereovertherainbow
That's very true.
exexec · 61-69, C
Love her just like I do now.
@exexec is your partner bisexual?
exexec · 61-69, C
@Random1Thoughts No. She had some fun with a girl in college, but nothing since.
Oh okay...🤗@exexec
Evilnine86 · 36-40, M
I would thank Chessus for that blessing
ElsaKaren · F
Lucky my partner is bi, or he would not be with me.
@ElsaKaren That's cool.

@Random1Thoughts I'm bisexual.
@DDonde You have so many to pick from. So many people are totally in to bi guys.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@Random1Thoughts I understand. Everyone's got preferences. But would you really divorce someone you married over it?
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
Nothing, we're married so that means they're already completely loyal to me. No bisexual shenanigans going down in our home...!
Would you date her if you knew beforehand she is bisexual? @MartinTheFirst

I agree with you, your choice of reasons for disliking it is yours alone. @Random1Thoughts
PilinisesiofParadise · 31-35, F
@Psycho
If I had to choose between a straight man and a bisexual man, I would probably choose the bisexual guy. However, the whole anal sex thing is what throws me off. In this day and age, especially on SW, 99.99% of members are gay, bi or lesbian. I don’t think her opinion will hinder anyone coming out.
Your argument might be relevant a decade ago, not so today.
