That he's probably resilient and independently minded. There is still a lot of societal prejudice against men dancing, based on tired and outdated stereotyping.

Sometimes people do that stuff to practice with sport they are in like ice-skating or maybe they are getting ready for a play in theatre

Whatever makes him happy. Not my thing, but if that's what interests you, you should do it.

if he enjoys it there is a crowd for that but there is the danger people will think he is a pervert for doing something he enjoys and showing his partners a good time

At the beginning of fourth grade in september 1979 I started an extracurricular dance class after school. I had to quit within two weeks because I was the only boy and was maliciously and mercessly teased by the girls in the class, they were encouraged to do so by the teacher, my Dad wanted her fired for it and the school board only laughed at him and called me a sissy boy, my Dad almost went to jail for knocking the guy out, the cop said because my Dad was defending my honor he was let go, despite the school board member wanting to press charges.
