I recommend to you the movies of Maria Felix. She was a kind of Mexican version of Sophia Loren. My personal favorites are Faustina, where she plays a female version of Dr. Faustus and The Affairs of Messalina, where she plays the infamous empress and wife of the Roman emperor, Claudius.

@greensnacks Now occasionally I do listen to some documentaries on NHK. They are often subtitled in English.

I like watching older movies from the 30s,40s,50s,just to see how much every thing has changed,the cars,the buildings,how people dressed,how people talked and acted. :)

The French make some great Comedies.

The Italians some great Spaghetti Westerns.

The others I have seen I'm not sure which countries they were from.

@Thevy29
The French make some great comedies.

That reminds me... There were a couple of family friendly French-Canadian (Canuxploitation) films that I saw in my youth which were a part of a series of films called Contes pour Tous. (Tales for All)

One was the 1984 film, La Guerre Des Touques, (English Title: The Dog Who Stopped The War) and the 1988 film, Grenouille ét la Baleine. (English Title: Tadpole and the Whale)

@jshm2 I didn't want to even mention one of them. 😖
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F

Not often. One was a really terrible movie. Taken place in Serbia.
@DeWayfarer Which one? Most are realistic, based on depicting real or similar events

@greensnacks Mention unfortunately below.

I really don't want to advertise it. It's that bad.
It's a sick movie that has been banned in many countries.
@DeWayfarer I saw. Thanks.
I haven't seen that one. And it's probably shock art. But also touching on some important relevant topics. I can't comment on it, but I did read the plot and why they banned it.
