You’re not an expat, you’re an immigrant.

Ynotisay · M
Not sure about that. Expats are typically temporary, often for work, and maintain their home country citizenship. Immigrants are long term or permanent with most vying for legal citizenship. .

Expat is a shortened way to say expatriate that was invented by enemies of the free republic of the U.S. of A. who called themselves professors back in the early 1960s.

It literally defines an exile. All other definitions were crafted to destabilize western history and literature.

Have a nice time reburying this fact.

What's your next smooth move, Stalinist?

@SteelHands Why not. It’s fun to dabble.

@TheMinistry Meh. Not necessarily. Once a central party has you A listed you never are really sure if that party invitation is going to be forced Russian dances or a night of drunken laughter ending in a hungover train ride to a Siberian gulag.

There were a heck of a lot of witty wit in those days too.

Once, when they owned public discourses they hadn't counted on the reunion of recognition. And gave up all those bad arguments without a leg to stand on.

Excuse me, I'm an adventurer.
@BlueVeins I used to be an adventurer like you. But then I took an arrow in the knee.
It seems to me that by default and definition, if they are immigrants to this country, they are expats to their native country.
The concept of synonyms is going to blow your mind.

Yes, all of my ancestors who moved here from other countries were immigrants and never intended to return to the old country.
