Major Urban Costs: Washington D.C. deployments cost $232 million, while Los Angeles cost $193 million in 2025.
Border Mission: As of March 2025, the Pentagon spent $328 million on expanded border missions.

These costs are separate from the $2 trillion+ in general defense spending during the first 5 months of Mr. Trump’s 2nd Term.
All told that’s $500M+$93M/ month+ about 19.5*/5 month($97.5M) •232M •in D. C. alone and $193M in Los Angeles plus $328M in “border operations” AND $779M +630M ($1.49 billion)on Operation Epic Fury aka Trump’s bankruptcy Rush.
Combined President Donald Trump has spend and/or authorized the expenditure of $3 BILLION dollars in his first 5 months in office plus $2 TRILLION more dollars in general defense spending total of about &2,008 BILLION dollars in 5 months. WTF!

Have they ever arrested anybody?
exchrist · 36-40
@onewithshoes yes per their website UNPOL the equivalent of UN Police can arrest & detain
operating in peace missions may apprehend individuals according to mandates.to maintain law and order.
More commonly the ICC relies on state cooperations for arrests
can issue arrest warrants for individuals accused of serious crimes like genocide or war crimes, but it relies on member states to execute these arrests.
INTERPOL is probably the best bet.

America is the only country to ever use a nuclear weapon against an enemy but no other country is allowed to even possess such a weapon? Something is wrong with that assessment.
swirlie · 31-35
@jehova
okay but has any other country ever detonated a nuclear weapon? Or used it as a weapon? Nuclear power is not nuclear bomb steam generation is not explosion on an enemy.

No country other than the USA has detonated a nuclear weapon while using it as a weapon.

You have taken my post out of context when I said that Canada is building a nuclear self-defense weapon, no different than France and England have done.

We are not talking about nuclear power versus nuclear weapons here.

The question was asked by the OP if no other country was allowed to have a nuclear weapon. The answer to his question is NO, any country can have a nuclear weapon at it's disposal because the USA does not dictate to the world who can have a nuclear weapon and who cannot. This is because the USA is not the Leader of the world and therefore does not get to decide for other countries.

@exchrist
to have (possess) is not use (detonate or attack an enemy.)

You asked if no other country was allowed to have a nuclear weapon?

The answer is NO. Any country can have a nuclear self-defense weapon if it desires.

The only time it would get used is in self-defense, assuming all other options at peace had failed and a nuclear attack from another country was imminent.

To have it but not ever be allowed to use it is an irrelevant statement you have made.
exchrist · 36-40
@swirlie yes I’d said possess my mistake I’d intended to inquire about using. But America objects to other countries even having possession of such technology despite America being the least trustworthy to be in possession of. So any new countries seeking to possess such weapons if only to be able to get a “seat at the international table”. Yet America has the unquestioned access to the greatest number of such weapons and is the only entity to ever use such technology as a weapon. Doesn’t make a lot of sense

A president cannot “declare war”
this is literally not someting the UN can even do, so the question is moot
jehova · 36-40, M
@ThirstenHowl but if they could should they? The Hague can?
@jehova the US has never been a signatory to the ICC, so the Hague can't do much with the US either

The fact that the US has never signed onto the ICC is why Bibi and Putin were able to fly to the US without any worry of arrest on their own outstanding ICC war crimes warrants

We realistically do not yet have a one-planet government even though we are one planet and it would a completely rational thing to have.

If it were possible, should the UN arrest him?
What should've happened is that the guy who was able to land a bullet into Charlie Kirk, should've been the guy who was in Butler PA, Trump is far more worthy of that bullet that Kirk was, Kirk was a relative noboby compared to an actual POTUS with actual power

Who knows, if the guy on the roof in Butler PA had not been spooked / distracted by a law enforcement officer trying to climb onto the roof, he might have made a better shot, and spared us from this second go-round with Cheetolini
