It might be a preferable place but ends up being shitty as well. I am aware that most people in the US are being exploited but you brought up immigration so I chose to focus on this topic.

@Gloomy What U.S interventions? You are aware that immigrants can come from anywhere, right? Even "non-white" covers a very vast group of people.

It's a "free decision" if *you* are making it, and it's what *you* would like. Would you say that people who came to the U.S in unfavorable circumstances and made a success of themselves didn't make a free decision? That it wasn't their choice and that it didn't benefit them greatly?

I brought up immigration because it negates your view that only rich white straight people (especially men) are free in the U.S. Clearly, most people are free and those moving there know that. It isn't "shitty" when you compare it to most other places, including some European countries.

It doesn't have to be a warzone to be less desirable than the U.S lol.

Those who came to the US in unfavourable circumstances didn't make a free decision. Them having success and later not regretting having to come there is something different.

What European countries? Also again freedom has different definitions. Freedom of speech and of movement within the US? Sure but freedom is more than that.

@Ducky I don't understand why Trump would even bother disallowing transgender to serve in the military. I'm going to assume there are not that many that are standing outside the Recruiters Office begging to join.

@MsSwan Things were going okay for a while then Trump happened.
They did away with abortion rights, they can bring back pandemic restrictions like the flick of a switch, now they are targeting TG.

If they have their way, the US won't have a single right remaining.

Once they have taken away as many rights as they can based on religious bullsh*t, at that point they will do away with freedom of religion.

It is like this, they are plotting people against each other. Using certain groups to turn onto others but once they have no more use for those groups, they are gone too.

It is like throwing some meat to the dogs then robbing the house.
